CTS-V

Cadillac's high-performance four-door sedan will not sport a slighty refined chassis which will be kept a rear wheel drive. It rides on GM's GLobal Luxury RWD Architecture, commonly known as Sigma. One of the best improvements from the previous model is that it will reach about 500hp, rather than 400hp. Still with a V8 nontheless. With such performance it is placed right between BMW's M3 and M5 and will also compete with Audi's RS4, as well as Mercedes C63 AMG. The new CTS-V will go on sale the fall of 2008 for an estimated $55,000.

All New Challenger!

With the introduction of the retro Mustang in 2005 Ford has taken the entire marketplace for american muscle retros. This is Chrysler’s chance to partake in with their release of the Dodge Challenger, which will be available soon after its showcase in the Chicago Autoshow held in February 2008. This front engine, back wheel drive is not to be mistaken, carrying a 6.1L Hemi V8 that puts 425hp will be most likely with an automatic 6 speed transmission, but Chrysler will most likely that the manual six speed will be much more rewarding. With such surprising performance, the pricetag will be ranged between $25,000 and $35,000 to compete with the Mustang. Carrying a 6.1L Hemi and such a low price will surely attract customers, which should be making Ford more than a litle concerned.

Ford Shelby GT500KR

This new version of the GT500 which was not as high of a success as desired due to its poor handling will surely satisfy new customers. The GT500KR is based off the 1968 GT500KR, more commonly known as the "King of the Road." This is the most powerful mustang ever in production and will be equipped with a 5.4liter V8 engine that will produce up to 540hp, and incrasing its torque to 510. Contrasting to most muscle cars, this new, more advanced muscle car will contain a 6-speed manual gear box, instead of a 4-speed short-throw shifter. Estimated arrival date for this car will be spring of next year, but Ford and Shelby have decided to only manufactre 1000 at the moment, at a price of just over $50,000.
